preacherman
My wife and I have been looking at these little devices from Verizion and such and was wondering if anyone has or has used one of the little Mobile Hotspots? This is the one we are looking at through Verizion: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?&item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneOverviewByDevice&deviceCategoryId=13 Really hope someone can give me some feedback, one way or the other! Thanks Scott
Dawg
When I click the link it takes me to a screen where I have to enter my zip and then it takes me to the mobile devices screen.
redkneck
When I click the link it takes me to a screen where I have to enter my zip and then it takes me to the mobile devices screen. +1 Sorry I missed your call Scott, I had to do a reset on my phone since it was sucking my battery dry (thanks free apps!). Hope you got my voice mail.
preacherman
Sorry about that, don't know what I did wrong; but it is one of those mobile hotspots, where you can have internet on the go. We are looking at doing away with our home internet and getting one of these instead.
preacherman
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller&&item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneOverviewByDevice&deviceCategoryId=13 See if that one works any better, when I clicked it, it took me straight to it! I did get your call. Tried to actually call you back and it sent me to your voice mail! I will give you a shout later this week!
Dawg
I don't have the hotspot, just the internet card that plugs into the USB port on my laptop.......love it though!

smallmunster
My brother got a verizon fivespot for Christmas and it works pretty good. I took it to Arkansas and it worked even with low signal strength. The only negative is the usage limit. If it was unlimited I would have it in my house instead of DSL. 92xj
I do not have any experience with that, but I do have experience with the USB drive pulg in that gives you internet from cricket. Its pretty cheap, like 20-30 bucks and people have had really good results from it out here. Not sure what kind of service they have in your area, but it might be a somewhat cheaper option to look into.
007BondJamesBond007
If you get an Android X it is a 3G hotspot and phone built in. Better value.
Gator
Scott, I use one extensively travelling the state, and have to say I REALLY REALLY like it. Just like a cell phone, if you don't have coverage with Verizon or US Cellular, it won't work, but those areas here are limited. Have had it for a year, and no complaints. PM if you have any specific questions
