Opinions wanted

Hey guys, looking for some honest opinions and feedback here on feature stories for Realtree.com. Would you rather read hunting "stories," written for entertainment, like this:

...or do you prefer "how-to" articles that attempt to teach you something about hunting, like this:

Or do you like a mixture of the two? So far as stories go, what do you guys think is missing?

I do like a mixture of both.

I will also say that when I opened both stories my first thought was, to long I'm not going to read all that. The "story" story I lost interest pretty quick (I guess could have differed if it was deer, elk, etc). The instructional story I skimmed to the parts I wanted to know about and skipped the rest.

If I had picked up a magazine I would probably spent more time reading each, but I'm on the internet, so i'm just going to skim either type of story but it's going to have to be something I'm more interested in to even get me to look at opening it.

just my .02

I enjoy reading hunting stories, BUT the thing that would make them better would be more pictures. Pictures from in the stand, like Tim sent me during the live hunts. Its awesome to see what the hunter sees as he sit on stand. It doesn't matter to me to see deer in the landscape pictures. It just nice to see the different terrain and landscape that the hunters are hunting in.

A mix of both would be nice...but something that has always stuck with me was a multi-chapter series that appeared about a guy going after an old buck. I think it was 7 chapters or so...great story that taught a few things at the same time;)

I cant remember the name of it but it was on the home page.
