gzilla45
I have an opportunity to buy a brand new 2010 Arctic Cat 550S. My uncle won it and is offering me a nephew discount. I really don't know much about Arctic Cat atv's and was wondering if anyone has any insight into them? From what I've read online this model rates really high but I'm taking that with a grain of salt. Any info would be greatly appreciated. jcot2773
I had a 2002 Arctic Cat that was nothing but electrical problems. Don't know if I got a bad apple or what...

Shaun_300
I've heard good things and bad things about them. One of the guy I work with, his buddy has one and has had nothing but problems with it. My buddy has a little 250 and it runs good, no problems with it at all. No harm in trying it, it'd come with quite a bit of warranty I would think so if problems do happen they can be fixed under warranty for the first while. If it happens to have a lot of problems you could always sell it or trade it for something else.
Goinghuntin
My brother has an '03 400 and brags quite a bit about its power and durability. He runs a 60-inch plow on it and says it never has to work to push it. The only problem he ever had with it was when a wire got pulled loose and wrapped around a rubber bushing on the front drive shaft, tearing it to pieces. That wasn't a very cheap fix, but it wasn't hard either. Nathan
KTMMIKE
I'm an Arctic Cat ATV dealer so my opinion my seem biased but we've have really good luck with them. We rarely do warranty work & they last forever. Buy it, you'll like it. If you need help figuring out a fair price to give your uncle let me know.
