WHISKEYSWAMP
Just thought I'd share my most recent experiences with price matching, particularly with Advanced Auto Parts. A few months ago I had to replace my fuel pump in my truck. I shopped around and found the cheapest price at rockauto.com... I took the price in to AAP and they knocked $100 of their price! Tonight I took a price in from amazon.com for a window regulator and they matched that as well, saving me $50. Obviously, that means their prices are a little high, but it's nice that they stand by their policy... hope this saves you all some cash as well. Shaun_300
You'd be surprised how much mark up is on auto parts! Most places will bend a fair bit to get your business, even if they don't make as much profit as they usually do.
redkneck
I do a lot of business with advance. Also buy some from rockauto. Both are great imho. Advance also gives firemen, military, and cops an extra 10% discount.
wtnhunt
Thanks for the tip on that. Don't have an advance auto parts local, think the closest on is about 30 minutes away. Usually use motor parts(napa) or auto zone here, two closest parts stores to us, will have to check their pricing policy.
MUDRUNNER
I actually by quite a few parts from Advanced. I signed up for their newsletter, and they send out weekly discounts codes for online orders. I order and pay online, and pick up the order in the store. I bought about $120 worth of parts a few weeks ago, and saved $30. I didn't know about the price match though. I'll have to remember that next time.
