Tony
a few months ago i found out i was getting laid off from my maintenance mechanic job at Bemis in Des Moines. well my job search didnt take very long i actually had the job in early dec, but i wanted to wait to post the good news until i actually started there. so friday morn i started my orientation at Titan Tire and then had to work at Bemis the 3 to 11 shift. so a nice 16 hour day for me. sunday will be my last day at bemis, it was a sad day to say good bye to a lot of great guys. my focus now is to do my very best at Titan Tire and let the chips fall where they may later. still thinking of moving to Colorado in mid summer. but i kind of doubt it, im too chicken to make that kind of move. but its still an idea on the back burner. so i get laid off and i dont even miss a beat, i just slide right into my new job. geez you would think i could work this so i could have a few weeks of or something.like during deer season? Tony It never works out that a guy gets laid off in hunting season. That would be too much to ask. Glad that you just kept on truckin'. Not everyone is so fortunate these days. Good luck at the new place.

92xj
Congrats Tony! Big moves are scary, but can be very well worth it in the end. Do not shy away from the fear of the unknown about a place to live. Good luck with your choices in the end and good luck with the new job! ruttinbuc
Glad to hear you kept right on going, Tony. There is a demand for millwrights with papers here. I often wished i would have got the training in the past. There was always a long wait list.

GWSmith
Congrats on the new job! Never wait until it's "the right time" to make a move...that time will never come. Just do it...there are always hurdles, costs, and barriers to making dreams happen...but...once that decision is made, then acted upon, Nothing will stop you and the next thing you'll know is there you are saying "I wish I had done this sooner".
