JJL
$2100................ Who's waiting in line for this piece of Matthews Hype ???? http://mathewsinc.com/product/safari/ It had better come with an Elk in front of it................ clrj3514
That is just rediculous! Some hunters are pricing us out of everything. There are guys out there that will take out a loan or whatever else they have to just so they say they have the "latest & greatest" thing on the market. I guess it's an ego booster. It's sad really

dbHunterNY
$2100................ It had better come with an Elk in front of it................ you mean rhino, hippo, lion, etc.? that thing is a little over kill on anything over here aside from maybe a brown bear or grizzly! RackBlaster
All this thing is going to do is jack up the prices of all other bows. Pretty soon, if not already, all the other bow makers will be coming out with a bow in comparison and it will give them an even larger playing field when pricing out a bow. HUNTINGMAN
Makes me want a new bowtech.
The Kid
to shoot big game you need around 70 lbs of force 40 for deer, the way my mathews monster is set up it's hitting with more than 110 lbs. of force I don't need to shell out another grand to hunt safari animals when my bow can already do it
Turkeygirl
No deer IMO is worth that much...lol You know what they say about the rich getting richer and the poor....

elkoholic
The hunting industry takes another step into the abyss. Now we'll get to see a million dollars worth of ads telling us why we need to buy this product. No, thank you.
Jorden
Ridiculous. Why would anyone pay that much money for a bow. Your talking almost three grand after you get it all set up. You could go on a hunt for that much.

Pretty soon, if not already, all the other bow makers will be coming out with a bow in comparison and it will give them an even larger playing field when pricing out a bow. Really? I'm thinking this bow is going to be a big flop in the sales department! I think every other manufacturer is going to watch closely and compare how many pro-staffers (that get this bow free) use it vs. the number of paying hunters that use it. Seriously can this bow really be more than 1,000.00 better than Matthews next best bow? This bow might be really good, but it's a Matthews mistake given our current economy. A mistake Matthews will soon discover. I'll bet their 2012 models are all way under 2G.
need2hunt
Last year Hoyt came out with their carbon bow which was a high dollar item compared to other bows. They must have gotten some good response because they came out with another one this year. Looks to me like Matthews is just trying to see how much SOME consumers are willing to spend as I doubt it cost much more to manufacture. ruttinbuc
Never ceases to amaze me to how gullible people are to all of this hype. Blows my mind as a matter of fact. I wonder how many will buy it just to say they have one, but never learn to drive it...

I wonder how many will buy it just to say they have one, but never learn to drive it... I don't know, I don't see this as a "collectors item". I think whoever buys something like this is die hard into bow hunting, and has the means to buy it. I'm sure the $2100 price tag is MSRP, they won't sell many at that amount, much like the Hoyt carbon bow from last year. It's just like anything else out there - I drive a Silverado. It's not an S-10, and it's not a Escalade. There are people out there that like to drive Escalades though..... With all of that said, I would never buy one... dbHunterNY
i think it was mentioned that you can go on a safari with a normal monster or other bow. however, why do i see guys shooting whitetails with magnum rifles when you can kill the deer with much less punch? some just like their weapon to have some horsepower. i've been told it's a custom bow offering for the most part. you won't really be seeing demo bows to test at bow shops. only those with the need or otherwise stupidity will be ordering this thing. if i were going after lets say cape buffalo, with archery tackle, it'd make me feel a little better knowing that i've got more than enough KE. although, i don't plan on doing that any time soon so with that said I will never have one or think to get one. wtnhunt
No way, not me. I could see $2100 as enough to start to get excited about saving up for another trip out west.
wildthing
To each his own...if people weren't buying, they would be producing those types of bows. Some can afford, most can't...I spent $850.00 on my Bowtech General a few years ago because I wanted a new bow so I am guitly as well. But, not sure I'd go up to $2100 for a bow. Depending on what you are hunting and how it needs to perform I guess. Most guys just hunting deer don't need to spend that much.
