clrj3514
A friend and former teacher of mine killed this buck this past season. Any idea what he'll score?
92xj
mid 130s, I would guess.
okiedog
I'm gonna say mid-upper 140's.
Tominator
Low 140's gross, high 130's net? 10 pt. 18" 19" spread? Pretty symmetrical, not a lot of mass.
danthehuntinman
I would say high 130's not much deductions from that deer and not alot of mass.
Muleyman
My guess would be 130s.
fly
looks like at least 18 inches wide. G-3's are tall, but not real thick. I'd say he'll be just shy of the 150 mark (gross) and net just over 140.
wtnhunt
Guess that deer will go in the mid to upper 130's.

Ohiobucks
Very nice symmetrical 10. I think you are all low so far.....I'm guessing in the mid 150's. One picture can be deceiving though.

One picture can be deceiving though. You may be right......but I don't see the mass for 150's. Hopefully Chris will post the results and we will all know
Ohiobucks
I taped this one at 153". Pretty similar to the buck he is asking about. The buck Chris is asking about looks to have better 2's as well.....

wtnhunt
You may be right......but I don't see the mass for 150's. Hopefully Chris will post the results and we will all know Me either. Kind of interesting that some who typically guess low seem high on this one to me. Very nice symmetrical 10. I think you are all low so far.....I'm guessing in the mid 150's. One picture can be deceiving though. I taped this one at 153". Pretty similar to the buck he is asking about. The buck Chris is asking about looks to have better 2's as well..... From that pic Tom, would not have thought that deer would make the 150's. Deer looks to have about a 17 to 17.5 inch inside spread, 22 inch beams and no tine longer than 9 inches. Hunters gloved hand minus the thumb I am guessing is not much more than 4.5 inches, only tine I see that might be twice that is the left g-3. Goes to show pics can be deceiving. I was fortunate to help Tom and his boss recover that deer William. I was way off on that deer too. I guessed right close to 140 gross, but I was way off. Unless Tom's Droid app. was wrong, that thing scored 153. It is heavier than it looks in the picture, and I want to say the inside was 19". Main beams were exceptionally long. Tom may have fudged a number or two just so he could bust my chops some more, but I don't think so.

Those beams look 22 inches could be an inch or so longer, sure didn't see a 19 inch inside spread on that deer. Like I said, look at his hands. That deer does have better mass I think than the one Chris posted, although Tom is right on the tines. Maybe Tom could score my 2010 ml'er buck for me. lol. Ohiobucks
I'll take my tape to work tomorrow and measure his again. He has the rack in his office right now, waiting to get it officially scored. This time, I'll print a P&Y score sheet and pencil it in by hand. hoosierhunter
I also think that buck goes about 140. No mass over 4 inches and no tine over 9.
fly
I visually scored a thinner racked 10 point buck a lot like this in the low 130's. After I measured the gross score was 145. I laughed and figured my math was wrong. Added again and still got 145. I love mass (my favorite feature on a buck) but as far as scoring the other characteristics are what gets the numbers up. On closer inspection his main beams do look shorter than I originally thought. I'll go with 143 gross score.
