I'm pretty sure you were right on too, and since I was the one punching in the numbers, I'm 99.9% sure you were right. :D

The 60 day period is up by now, isn't it?

BTW--I messed up your last post. I thought I hit the reply button, but I hit the edit button accidentally. Think I got it back to the general idea, lol. :D

Well, I re-scored my buddies buck, and after the 60 day drying period (actually we're closer to the 90 day mark.....), the results are in. I came up with 148 7/8 gross, 144 3/8 net.

17 7/8" spread

65 1/8" right

65 7/8" left

4 4/8" difference

It's a little easier to score skull capped antlers on your desk, vs. antlers with a 240+lbs carcass still attached..... :D

I'd say you were right on then, that deer lost a little on the inside.

Hit Scott up for some BBB banquet tickets. :D

143 3/8

Not bad eh........this buck looked very similar to a buddies of mine which scored around 145. I figured I would be close.

Hard to say......:D:D

We have 2 different deer in this thread......

clrj3514 posted this deer....

A friend and former teacher of mine killed this buck this past season.

Any idea what he'll score?

and we don't know the score yet....

I taped this one at 153". Pretty similar to the buck he is asking about. The buck Chris is asking about looks to have better 2's as well.....

Sorry your thread was hijacked here Chris, and apologize for my part in that.

Still think your teachers deer goes upper 130's, might crack 140 gross maybe. Guessing it has about a 17.5-18 inch inside spread, tallest tines being close to but probably shy of 10 inches and no mass measurements over 4 inches. Beams on that deer are not longer than 21 inches I don't think from that pic. Still a real nice deer imo, one I would be happy to have on my walls. Congrats again to your teacher.
