RTPROFamily
Randy finally arrived at the show. It only took 1hour and 30 min. to drive 6 miles! He said that there were cars stuck on off ramps in ditches and stalled cars all over and he had a guy in a truck trying to crawl up his bumper the whole way! But he made it safely and the only people so far at the show is the security people! I guess that Randy can do a show for them! Randy said that he and dad have driven in 46 states in all kinds of ice, sleet, snow etc. and this is the worst roads and conditions that they has ever encountered. It is here in IL. started with ice and sleet yesterday and this morning changed to snow at 9:30am and blowing winds. We are supposed to get 12 to 20 inches of snow also! Schools closed yesterday at noon, medical clinics closed today at noon and our Gov. has ordered our national guard on standby. Be safe everyone! ruttinbuc
Yes, Darla, I knew Randy would make every effort to get to the show. Timing is everything and this storm most certainly showed up at the wrong time..
wtnhunt
That is a shame Darla. Too bad the storm hit when it did. Hope they have a safe return trip.

ruttinbuc
As always with Randy, the show must go on. I bet those people thoroughly enjoyed that. I guarantee they are Randy Oitker fans now if they weren't before. Hope it goes at least as well tomorrow and he and dad get home safe and sound. Shaun_300
Glad he made it there safe! Quite the storm going on down there. Looks like Chicago is gonna get hammered big time. It's hitting us tomorrow morning. 8 inches expected in this area, a foot or more in the Toronto area.
ckrich
Yeah, its a bad deal. I wanted to head to Tulsa to meet him but I live 45 miles outside of tulsa. I wasnt that brave... Smart move. I got out for a bit and couldn't believe all of the vehicles that were stranded. I think there are still semi's parked in the middle of 44. I know there are two semi's still half hanging across the road on 51 in BA. Glad Randy made it safe! I just hope he doesn't get too bored sitting around. RTPROFamily
Randy is on his way home. he had 3 really good shows today . He said it took him 2 hours just to drive 30 miles. Only 400 more mile to go!! It is still a mess at home. Our roads are drifted from bank to bank. I have never seen this before. No one has come through with a snow plow all day. There was no mail today, banks closed grocery stores closed almost the whole area is closed. Randy is driving home on snow and ice and it is the same here also.
