jci63
Re: Confiscated Ohio Buck Here's the information I got with the photo: "The ODNR wildlife officer took this off someone's hands near Pickerington, OH. It was shot out of season. Supposedly shot on Dec 6th and checked as a muzzleloader kill." I guess what makes me sick about this buck is that he made it through the hunting seasons only to be poached.
Rhino
Re: Confiscated Ohio Buck What a fantastic buck. It's really sad that this one wasn't taken ethically. Is it just me or does there seem to be more of these monster bucks being taken by poachers?

Tominator
Re: Confiscated Ohio Buck [ QUOTE ] Here you go Tominator. It looks to me like a 210 - 220 class nontypical. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks Indiana. Well, I can promise you 2 things: 1. Pickerington is in Fairfield county, and that gentleman pictured with the deer is not Fairfield county's DNR warden. 2. I know that DNR agent pictured personally, and I cannot find any story to corroborate this story. I emailed the Ohio DNR and asked them if there's a story behind it so hopefully I'll hear from them. I'll keep looking for the story.

I would mention his name, but I see in the picture that his badge number is covered which tells me he doesn't want his identity known. If anyone really wants to know, it's easy to figure out, but I consider this gentleman to be a friend, so I won't say. You have a PM Aaron. Bowtech_archer07
Re: Confiscated Ohio Buck [ QUOTE ] I can never understand how a person can have pleasure in taking ANY deer illegally. I agree, throw the book at him, I hope he loses all hunting rights forever, ( not that this was hunting) . How anybody could do that I don't know. Somebody in IL did it 5 or 6 years ago. too_pointer [/ QUOTE ]
