JJL
At least people there had enough sense to respect the National Anthem ..what they did at Chicago was TERRIBLE!!! and Disrespectful...what a disgrace to America! You may wish to check out the tradition that follows the National Anthem in Chicago................................you'll be amazed. It's with utmost respect to the Troops and the Nation. Kind of similar to todays game when they showed the troops on the big screen and the crowd went nuts during the National Anthem...................... Congratulations to the Packers..................... Your fans are still idiots. The Halftime show did stink, kind of like the refs..........................doesn't change the Gospel though. ruttinbuc
I must have been making a taco when the refs messed up. Sounds like a Pittsburgh fan I know. The truth of the matter is the Packers played well enough to beat the Steelers all things considered. There was more incidents of holding other than the one that was most obvious. Always is. for the most part the refs let them play. As they should. As for the entertainment like always. Not the best, but it could have been worse. It wasn't bad for doing all that live. It is what it is. Someone will always disagree. did anyone notice that Christina Aquilera missed a verse in the National Anthem? Doubled up on a verse she did. Ravin R10 man
JJL, Chicago fans drowned out the ENTIRE Anthem..what a disgrace to America....I have no problem with saluting our troops after it's done I am well aware of what the hooting is all about..but there is a place for it. on a note to todays "stars"..singing the Anthem and forgetting the lines, come on Christina, 6 years olds have no problem Edited February 7, 2011 by Mathews XT Man

Back in 1992 when I first started dating my wife it was the quincentennial year for Columbus Day. That year my wife was Miss Columbus New York State. Part of the celebration included a big crane and they hung the Mount Rushmore flag. Before we did the National Anthem we were given a lecture on proper Anthem etiquette. It is improper to make any noise whatsoever during the National Anthem. It was explained to us that during many sporting events people will yell and cheer during "...the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air". It is wrong to do that. It may be a tradition to scream during the National Anthem in Chicago but in fact they are being very disrespectful to our flag.

PotashRLS
Congratulations to the Packers..................... Your fans are still idiots. :nono: I don't like your tone young man. A little bitter are we? If by idiots you mean supporting the team wholely, not band wagon fans, not blaming and threating a player that has a bad game, and being considered the best in the league, then yep, we are idiots. Oh and we'll see ya next year with our 15 IR players (11 starters) back. Not that the back ups that won the Super Bowl are bad.
Ethan Givan
Good game overall. Came down to the last couple minutes which is what people want I guess. Didnt really care who won but it was a fun game to watch. As far as the refs, I thought they did ok accept for one call, when they called that pass incomplete for Green Bay. Looked like a completed pass and then a fumble recovered by Green Bay to me, but oh well. The halftime show did suck. The only thing I liked about it was the christmas tree light outfits
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Turned out to be a pretty good game. Glad the Packers won. I wanted to see Charles Woodson finally get a ring. Stinks that he got hurt though.

In a nutshell he said that when he is on the road covering football games, his favorite stop is Green Bay. He said this was because the Green Bay fans treat him better than than he gets treated in Dallas.

Also.........Dec. 27, 2010 Sports Illustrated NFL Players poll listed Packers Fans as the most knowledgeable in the game. Is it scientific, no. But what do the players know. All biases asside, it was a great game coming down to the end just like in the regular season of 2009. Now both teams are the only ones to win a Super Bowl as a 6th seed (Steelers in 2005). It was a lot of fun. I give Mike Tomlin a ton of credit. He is a great coach that makes no excuses. Big Ben, Wallace, Ward, Mendenhall, they didn't lose the game.........Green Bay won it. When defenses step up, QBs have bad days. When QBs step up, defenses have bad days. Why can't one TEAM beat another TEAM!!!!!!!!!!

fly
Wish we had a North and South Illinois. Can not stand being in the same state as Chicago. The people down here are decent, but Chicago law makers win every time (unless the supreme court steps in). I was rooting for the Steelers, but I must say Rogers came through on third and long in the 4th quarter. Game winning play in my book. I believe they are commenting on the trends of behavior and disrespect displayed during the National Anthem. The Anthem at the Bears games are just one example. Besides its a Packers/Bears thing. You wouldn't understand.
gzilla45
60,000+ fans just spent a day in sub-zero temps to get a chance to see their team for one more time this year. Best fan base in sports. Enough said.

LETMGROW
Just another angle on what has been said. I am not a big fan of football. Had there been something really great on the " Outdoor Channel " I might not have even watched the Super Bowl. However, I did and really enjoyed what I thought was a good game. I was disappointed in the singing of the National Anthem! Seems as though a Multi Grammy winner could at least learn the words to one of the most respected American patriot songs. Half time entertainment was at best so-so. No real treat at all. Girl was pretty though. Best commericial was the guy doing the E-Mail to a new girlfriend. Probably ruined a budding realitionship. Congrats to both teams. Unfortunately there has to be a 2 nd. place. I wouldn't call anyone a loser because they had to be a winner just to be there. Flintlock1776
It was a good game that unfortunately was interrupted by many lame commercials and a really bad half time show. The commercials and half time gave everyone time to eat, drink etc and sit through gameplay and enjoy a good game.
