Bowtech_archer07
I didn't hear it during the halftime show, but they sure did. Check out this link! http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Video-Will-i-am-changes-lyrics-to-send-message-?urn=nfl-317647 Gotta give some credit here for him to say this on one of the biggest sports stages in America. 92xj
First order of business. Fergie is hot! Second, I did not see or hear it yesterday but I watched the video and he asked Obama to get it straight. Pretty cool.

RTPROFamily
The black eyed pea guy said that it was a mistake. This song is older and he used to say Bush but when singing the song he changed the presidents name but forgot to put in his new message. Believe me they are all liberal and wouldn't say anything bad about Osama er Obama!

If you look up the lyrics to the original song, there is no mention of Bush so idk if he just did that in live performances or what
stevebeilgard
the message was clear to me. liberal or not, they don't like obama.
Ohiobucks
That was their message to Obama, the message to the rest of us was, "Our live performances are really, really bad!"

Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
The black eyed pea guy said that it was a mistake. This song is older and he used to say Bush but when singing the song he changed the presidents name but forgot to put in his new message. The original lyrics to this song have nothing close to what he sang during the halftime show, no mentioning Bush or any other president for that matter. He changed the words to send his message. I'll have to take you guys word for this one,I'm not watching that crap again to find out. The video in the link above jump right to were he is saying that line, no need to suffer through the whole thing again.
hoosierhunter
I think the problem was a mic problem cutting in and out, but overall that actually was a pretty good halftime show. It's just a generational issue.
Jeramie
Nice to see even the liberal entertainers are starting to notice his short comings. That was their message to Obama, the message to the rest of us was, "Our live performances are really, really bad!" Talent isn't truly talent anymore. Its about marketing and the studio. Bowtech_archer07
I liked the show, the audio was horrible though. I thought the performance of them and people who were off stage in the light up suits was very well done.
magnatecsteve
Yeah, I caught the Obama message.... The best part of the halftime was Slash. Wasn't impressed at all with Fergies rendition Axle, they're one of my all time favorite groups.
PotashRLS
If a performer is so crappy of an artist that they have to perform remakes of classic songs just so people will like them and sing along at the game, that is bad. Obviously most artists cover other artist's material at some point, but they shouldn't have to at the Super Bowl if they are as good as they are supposed to be!!! I think Patrick Swayze threw up a bit in his grave. Axle Rose was probably staring at Fergi and thought of the royalty check he cashed. And with the wardrobe they had, I was waiting for KISS to pop up on stage. At least then it would have only half sucked (I admit the light suits were kinda cool). Maybe at next years Super Bowl, Ted Nugent could do half time. He would probably have a message to Obama too!:clown:
ruttinbuc
Regardless if it is good, bad, or indifferent the Black Eyed Peas are laughing all the way to the bank. It is quite an accomplishment to get this far in the music industry. Someone has to like these groups or they wouldn't be asked to perform at such a venue. Then they have too deal with pulling off a live performance. There are so many things going on behind the scenes that perfection is impossible. None of the performers or their music are on my favorites list, but it is what it is and it wasn't as bad as some other halftime shows. Yup. Not the kind of "entertainers" I would listen to or have an interest in, but their performance was not as bad as some I have seen.
