Jeramie
This morning we tied our state record and tied the record for Chicago... :jaw: Bartlesville Oklahoma -- 02/10/2011 -- -27F (Actual Temps) At the house it was -17 actual temps. My nose hairs froze as soon as I walked out the front door.
okiedog
Yep.. that was the first time I saw a negative reading on my truck temp. Just a few more days and we'll be looking at 70 though.
wtnhunt
Suppose our balmy 6 degree actual temp here a little while ago is not so bad.
Jeramie
Just officially broke the Record. National Weather Service has confirmed that Bartlesville dropped to -28f. This literally beats Chicago's record... And yes, we are back into the 40's this weekend and around the 60's the first of next week.

gzilla45
That's the same temp I had here this morning. An hour north had -33. I can't wait for Saturday as we are supposed to be close to 30. Wahoo!!!
ckrich
I would settle for it to be just warm enough that the guides on my fly rod won't ice up. When it's 40 this weekend I'll probably be driving around with the windows down!
Strut10
-28F ??? Wow!!!!! We'd even call that "pretty nippy" here in west PA. Where's all the global-warmingists been hiding at this winter??? Good luck getting through the next few days out there.

Shaun_300
Holy smokes that's cold for you guys! It was around -13 this morning here, nothing too crazy for us. Yep at that temperature, -25 and colder you sniff and your nostrils freeze shut. You can also throw a cup of hot water or coffee in the air and it'll freeze before it hits the ground. Jeramie
Its going to turn for us. We are suppose to be in the mid to high 70's by this time next week. Oklahoma is crazy like that. During the spring you run the heater in the morning and the AC after noon.
Chester
15 degrees here this morning, most of the snow is gone.

Brrrr, you can keep those double negative digits. Lowest temp reading we got on the way into town this morning was 4 on the durango readout(it has been pretty accurate), was 14 inside the garage. Record low was 8, safe to say that got broken. Never reprogrammed the timer on the wellhouse when the power co swapped out our transformer a couple weeks ago, weather said 12 for a low so I just left water dripping in a couple faucets and did not turn on our heat lamp. Turned the thing on manually Wednesday night and let it run overnight and shut it off yesterday morning, was not supposed to be as cold last night, man were the forecasters here ever wrong on that. We are probably lucky the water did not freeze up in the well house. During the spring you run the heater in the morning and the AC after noon. Get the same here, not uncommon at all to see 30's in the mornings and 80 in the afternoons. Have said it before during the turkey season here you may have to wear layers in the mornings and then be in short sleeves and sweating in the afternoons. stevebeilgard
new mexico has declared a cold weather emergency. not enough gas to feed the heaters. lots of folks frozen out of their homes with the coldest weather in history. thanks, algore. tell me more about global warming. we could all use a bit of extra heat about now. We are probably lucky the water did not freeze up in the well house. I covered our pump (inside the well house) with a heavy tarp and have been running a heat lamp under the tarp. Works like a charm but I havent turned the lamp off. Ive kept it running so I wouldnt have to keep up with it.... Its probably 65 under the tarp. Our well house is about a 10x10 and its probably staying in the high 40's from the light. It has really saved us. The only water that has froze up is in our bath room sink but it is on an outside wall.

No kidding.... What cracks me up is if you look at the weather patterns they cycle and have for the past 100 years. In a couple of years we will have a warm winter with rain and little to no snow. Then followed a few years later by tons of the white stuff..... The pattern isnt hard set but its present. I do agree we dont need to be pumping dirt into the air but that idiot just used that as his Champion to get richer..... and it worked.
