MUDRUNNER
what are getting your better half for Valentines day? I'm still undecided. I don't really see Vaneltines day as that big of a deal, but my wife usually likes to get something. I guess she deserves it for putting up with me.:jaw: She's watching what she eats, so that puts candy out. I have a little problem buying overpriced flowers that end up in the trash a week later. Plus I just got her flowers a few weeks ago for her birthday. Any ideas?
Newarcher
I'm giving her back her maiden name! She's been wanting a small camera she can carry in her purse so I bought her an Olympus camera. Nice little job. I also got her a charm for her pandora bracelet. One of the people at our Church decided to have a Valentines parent's night out. They are having the kids come to the Church and have a youth night so the parents can go out to dinner and see a movie. New

Flintlock1776
I asked her if she would like these thoughtful gifts: Laundry to wash Clothes to iron Swifter Broom for the hardwood Floors 1 Gallon of Windex and a case of Bounty rolls to clean the windows She told me what she thought of it. The Doctors said I should be released from the Hospital this Sunday. That will give me plenty of time to get the 2nd gift idea I had: 1-800-Pro-Flowers You too may want to consider option #2 first:jaw::tt1:

Tominator
My wife's a classic band wagon fan....1997 it was the Indians, 2003 the Buckeyes, 2010 the Cavs, this year, OSU basketball. Well, if you've ever watched an OSU home game, the student section has been wearing these red and white zebra print parachute pants and she's made comment that she really wants a pair, so I ordered them online the other day. Tracking number says they'll be here tomorrow. :tt1:

Newarcher
I got all of you fellas beat.....I almost got involved in an armed robbery buying my wife's present! No joke. I was planning to leave my house at 11:15 AM to take and early lunch and get my V-day shopping done. The jewelry store is 10 minutes from my home. Well, the phone rang and it was my mother telling me to stay put that my niece was going to drop off a package at my house. That delayed me about 30 minutes so I didn't get to leave my house until about 11:50. Long story short---at 11:25 three men (two inside and one outside) stormed the very jewelry store I was going to with guns, pistol whipped an employee, pointed their guns at several customers, broke several of the glass counters, made off with an untold amount of high end jewelry and left. No one seriously hurt. So had my Mom not called, I would have been in the middle of that. The side story is that I am armed with a cocked and locked 1911 pistol everywhere I go and while I wouldn't intervene to save a bunch of shiny rocks, I don't know that I could have watched while they beat up a woman. I also don't know that I would have taken too kindly to having a gun pointed at me during a robbery. So maybe that was God using my Mom to save me from myself! Funny how a phone call can change the day, I had considered letting it go to the machine so that I could get going. New
