Jeramie
I agree and keep it very professional. Granted the good ole boy thing will get you some business but for it to have longevity you have to keep it suit and tie so to speak. Good luck from another Okie! Hope it works out for you. LETMGROW
L.M.B. As in Losing My Butt. Which is probably what you will do. Several folks around here have bought equipment and struck out to make their fortune only to find out most plotters and land owners are not willing to spend anywhere near what you will have to get to provide your services. Looking through my records, I have averaged over $ 400 per acre to plant a quality plot. This is for materials alone. You will have to figure in Equipment costs, insurance, transportation costs, fuel etc. Could easily double your actual cost. Now add in a reasonable profit margin. You have a window to do plantings and everybody will want it done at their property right now! Take into consideration weather conditions may prevent you from working but the bills don't stop coming in. Check out some of the posts in the Land and Wildlife Room. Usually the folks are trying to use the cheapest seed and products available to establish plots and habitat. Think they are going to pay close to $ 1000 per acre to have you do the work for them? Good Luck! Lynn

HuntingPA
Responded in Spiritual I saw your thread down in Spiritual where you were asking for a spiritual hint and responded there, here was my response: God's Country Land Management Hunting Heaven Land Management (replace T in hunting or country with a cross if you want) at least on your logo, not on your legal docs. Hope that helps get the wheels turning for you, sounds like a dream job. GOOD LUCK! i would likely have to sell my own hunting land to run something like that, but it is something I am trying to get my son to look into for a career. Doubtful you will get rich, but now there is a career and life that would be great o look back on. Texan_Til_I_Die
If your primary focus is on wildlife habitats, I'd try to incorporate the word Wildlife into the name. Also remember that including Oklahoma in your name may limit your options for expansion to other states. Think about your power words like Wildlife, Enhancements, Improvements, Focused, Professional, Solutions, Resources, Management, etc and then try different combinations of them. Whatever you choose, you'll want to verify that none of them are already in use (nor anything close to avoid confusion). Good luck, and if you're planning to hire staff, I have an excellent lead on someone who is about to graduate from San Angelo State with a BS in the field. Right now he's undecided about going to work, or continuing and getting his Master's.
