Turkeygirl
Wondering if any of you use vertical pin sights? Was considering maybe trying a vertical pin sight when I get my new bow. Did you like or dislike?
dbHunterNY
Sorry Ruth, haven't tried any of them. My next sight is going to be an Axcel Armortech HD. I don't have the opinion that things are cluttered in my sight window, so I've never thought to try them. ....did you end up deciding on a new bow? Z7 Xtreme? Turkeygirl
Well going to try and shoot some bows first but the Z7 extreme is at the top right now
RackBlaster
I love them, they are great when shooting long distance's and low light. I shoot the Trophy Ridge Alpha V5 micro pins. It would be hard to go back to horizontal pins after using vertical pins.
HUNTINGMAN
I still shoot my trophy ridge sight and love it,its rock solid and does open up the sight picture.

Tony
for me it didnt seem to matter much. i like seeing pin gaps with the horizontal pins, but like the idea of vertical pins so you have a clearer view in the sight. i went back to horizontal pins simply becasue it was what i have used so much. i think either will be good as long as you get lots of practice time before the season. Squirrelhunter91
I tried an HHA sight out for about a week and that was it. I didn't like the potential of having to adjust the sight as the deer were coming in. I never tried a fixed single pin sight though like the Trophy Ridge line or Tru Glo line. But Ruth, if you have the money, definitely look into the Spot Hogg sights. I had a Spot Hogg Real Deal on my DXT, and I just put another Real Deal on my CRX. It's super bright, especially with the Hogg Wrap and with .019 pins, they really don't clutter the sight housing.

Tony Totally agree with what Tony is saying here. I did the same thing and was so used to have that pin gap with a clear sight window and it kind of made it a little frustrating because I couldn't see the target with verticals. ruttinbuc
I have a Vital Gear Triangle sight that has the pins coming in on an angle . it is as if the pins are floating in space. Which reminds me. I didn't use it last year as it needs a new fiber optic and never sent it in. I used an Impact Archery pendulum sight that could be set for ground hunting. It as an unobtrusive vertical pin.
