Gator
Ordered a new scope from Cabelas the 27th, and due to the bad weather, it didn't get delivered until yesterday, which I have no problem with. But what does chap my butt is the fact that they left it in a bag, hanging from a "fence", at the top of my drive, approx 1/8th mile from my house. Granted, they couldn't get down my drive, but danggit man, did they have to leave it there? Where people could see it and possibly take it? I'd have rather waited a week longer to get it than have it get stolen. Already called Cabela's, plan on calling UPS next week. Just irritates me that they would do that

Tominator
They are kind of chapping me right now too. I don't know if it's them or the company that sold me something or the weather or what, but I paid an extra $5 to have something expedited, guaranteed 2 day delivery. I ordered the thing Monday, and I still don't have it. Supposed to come today.
wtnhunt
You may need to call them Jason and complain. UPS will not drop stuff here anymore without signatures, we had to get set up to only take deliveries from them with signing due to issues with misdeliveries. Between sears parts direct and cabelas we had a few things lost and UPS had enough on their ends of claims that they said enough was enough. We had like 3 misdeliveries over a couple months that I believe were all delivered to a house up the road after UPS went to no longer having our same route driver who had delivered here for several years. They went to where we had different drivers just about every time they came out. Kind of inconvenient to have to sign, but they will take a signed note left on the door. With the signatures the drivers who may not be familiar with the route won't screw up and they would have to come to the door to drop the package. Real unfortunate some scumbags WILL NOT give you what is yours or are too sorry to call and let UPS know they misdelivered but they are out there and no doubt some scumbag comes along they would also swipe the bag from your fence. The usps is no better, our drive is a 1/4 mile long here and we cannot see the road from the house, but they will hang stuff from the flag on our mailbox despite having had issues there too. The USPS had all shipments delayed for several days last week here and then again this week after the blizzard. People were calling mad as wet hens but people cant deliver what they never received. Also, the drivers were have too hard of a time getting out and delivering.
clrj3514
We ordered me a youth bow from Bass Pro 4 or 5 years ago and it was left leaning against the steps. We're talkin a $250ish item. Really Dumb! Believe it was FedEx though.
Newarcher
I'll take UPS over FedEX ANYDAY. I had two windows that were packaged in a 1/2 pallet type shipping container shipped three times by FedEx from the manufacturer. The first set was completely broken in half. Called and got a second set sent. The second set was on a small delivery truck. My buddy was here painting when the delivery came (he was painting). The lady delivery driver dragged the pallet to the end of the truck and stopped. It was long enough that she could have laid her end down and then safely lifted the windows. Oh no. She took the end of the package she was holding and yanked. The end on the truck fell approximately four feet to the ground and crashed. My buddy climbed down the ladder and had this conversation with her: B: Hey, ma'am do you know what is in that package? F: No, no idea. B: Well do you know what that label on the package which says 'F-R-A-G-I-L-E' means? F: Yes. B: Well then why did you just let that other end drop four feet and land with a THUD? F: [bLANK STARE] I called and complained so I had the third set shipped to my local Lowes store by the manufacturer's truck and it was fine. Oh well. Since then FedEx has delivered two packages and both of them were completely destroyed. I won't deal with anyone who sends anything via FedEX. Tominator
According to the tracking number, my package was delivered to the post office today. You know, out of respect for the boss of this forum, I won't post the 3 letter acronym I'm thinking of right now. In all fairness, it's partly my fault. When I buy something online, quite often you don't know who the shipper will be, so I have to put both the street address and our P.O. Box number. It used to be that UPS wouldn't deliver to the post office, and when you'd order some sites would warn you that UPS doesn't deliver to the post office, but I didn't get a warning this time, and it wasn't until the order was about to be submitted that I saw that UPS would be the carrier. I didn't feel like going back to the shipping options page so I just submitted it.

Gator
That goes to show you live in a GOOD neighborhood LOL!!! Actually, I don't even live in a neighborhood! I'm at the end of an unpaved dead end road, and the "fence" is right there. Anyone lost, looking to dump trash, whatever could have come down there, turned around, and seen it....... The Post Office delivers all the small lightweight packages for UPS now........that is why the tracking number showed it was brought to the Post Office. You will now get a notice in your P.O. box that your package is there and ready to pick up.....this is Mrs. Mathews XT and I work for the USPS....we see UPS and Fed Ex drivers daily at work dropping off many packages for us to deliver to customers next day....if you see "Parcel Select" in the upper right corner of any package you receive at the P.O., you'll know that UPS or FED EX dropped it off there. Hope that clears things up.. ...a little?
