killer711
I love fishing in my pond but the I have so many dang grass crap in there all they do is root around on the bottom and try to find something to eat. I have tried to catch them with a rod and reel but no luck. So I’m now going to try to shoot them with the bow but I’m not really for sure how to do it. I think how I’m going to do it is to back the truck down to the bank and have a light to the side so I can see, But would I be better to take a boat and go around the pond in it but I would not be above the water like I would standing in the truck bed If anyone can help me out I would love it!! Thanks!
dbHunterNY
Some things to remember. DON'T back your truck into the water!! The rear drivetrain is not sealed water tight on top and water will get in there and mess it up. take a wide flat bottom row boat some boards and 5/8" plywood to make a deck on top. that's all you'll need. you'll be way better off trolling around it then waiting for them to come to where you've got the truck backed up. for the bow stick to 30 or 40 pounds, otherwise you won't be able to pull the arrow out of the bottom of the pond. there's kits out there pretty cheap to go with the bow.
