LETMGROW
Glad to see some positive things being said about the winner. I have been watching Trevor throughout his career in ARCA. He is not a flash in the pan. I suspect we will be hearing his name again and again. I couldn't be happier for the Wood's brothers team. This was a tough race by anyones standards. MUDRUNNER
It was great to see a fresh face in victory lane. What a moment for that kid! He ran a perfect race. I didn't see a dent or swirly on either side of his car.
VABuckSlayer
He did an awesome job! Seems like a good kid! Couldn't be more happier to see the Wood Brothers back in victory lane... especially at Daytona!
Gator
He did an awesome job! Seems like a good kid! Couldn't be more happier to see the Wood Brothers back in victory lane... especially at Daytona! Amen to seeing the Wood Brothers in Voctory Lane!!! That was the best part of the race. But watching it, there was no "sizzle", no slingshot passing, no "true" drafting. looking like if you are running first and second, thats just about where your gonna stay, unless a "two pack" passes you, to me, that ain't racing.... But I'm old school, I hate the "new" nascar

But I'm old school, I hate the "new" nascar I don't know squat about racing, but to me, that "race" was a farse. It was more like watching 20 mamby pambies bumper hugging rather than 40+ guys trying to win. I'm with Jason, don't care for the "new" NASCAR
Ethan Givan
I don't know squat about racing, but to me, that "race" was a farse. It was more like watching 20 mamby pambies bumper hugging rather than 40+ guys trying to win. I'm with Jason, don't care for the "new" NASCAR Not sure if touching bumpers at 200 mph makes you a mamby pamby LOL I dont care for the new style of racing either. Yesterdays race was alot more about strategy as far as who to hook up with to draft, who pushes, and who leads then timing it when to make your move to pass. Seemed like it would have been very hard mentally and very unerving because some of those cars got extremely loose when another guy shoved his nose underneath of it. You cant race real aggressive under those conditions or you will be in the wall in no time. I was glad to see Trevor win it though. He has a bright future in the sport
Ohiobucks
I guess the Daytona 500 was yesterday? I missed it, I was too busy watching my Buckeyes choke one away to Purdue.

killer711
i like the old style of racing more but that was one of the best finshes imo just because i got to see the old motorcraft car go back to winning!!!
Chester
Congrats to the kid for winning the 500. If he stays with the 21 team, he will just be a one hit wonder. I can see him moving to a bigger outfit next year.
LETMGROW
Just for info. The car Trevor drove was provided to the Wood's brothers by Rousch-Fenway racing. When Trevor got wrecked in the duels my former next door neighbor and close friend Matt Puccia went down to Daytona and over saw the rebuilding and repairs. Matt is heading up the Rouch-Fenway teams research and development program for the Sprint Cup series this year. Good job, Matt! Last year Matt was crew chief for Paul Menard in the Nationwide series. Actually, Trevor is on loan, from Rousch-Fenway to the Wood Bros. for the 17 race schedule they have planned for Sprint series this year. He will be driving for Rousch-Fenway full time in the Nationwide series. Lynn Edited February 23, 2011 by LETMGROW

stevensake
NASCAR Driving Experience News: Although the final result didn't truly reflect it, Bayne and the Wood Brothers left Las Vegas Motor Speedway looking a lot like the driver and team that won the Daytona 500 two weeks ago. Bayne overcame a lot of adversity to finish 20th in Sunday's Kobalt Tools 400 at LVMS, woodbrothersracing.com reports. [-]Impact: "I am proud of our Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion team today," Bayne said. "They did a great job to keep us in the race, get us back on the lead lap. I am just really proud of my team today. We will learn from it and head to Bristol in a couple of weeks, and I am really looking forward to that." Bayne could have challenged the Top 10 at Vegas were it not for his pit road speeding penalty. However, he raced his way back onto the lead lap and collected a respectable finish.but consider how little driving experience trevor has.
