Tominator
I don't poo poo about anything, I am SAVED! Just because you are going to burn in an eternal lake of fire doesn't make the rest of us alarmists. First of all, my original comment was not directed at Dawg, it was more of a general comment, in my humble opinion, that the world isn't as bad off as some believe, but that's their opinion and I don't have a problem with it, I just don't share it. As for your comments, well, I'll let the big man upstairs pass judgement on me if you don't mind. Thanks Steve and okie, I appreciate it. Dawg
fstdt 1. I do agree, there are folks out there that are fanatics with very twisted beliefs. Telling someone they are going to burn in the lake of fire (whether we know them or not) is not anyone's place, save God's. The Bible clearly tells us that we are not to condemn anyone. 2. Posting something that, when it is looked up, links to a website that bashes Christians is no different than you bashing Christians yourself here in the forums. Which is against forum rules. First of all, my original comment was not directed at Dawg.... And just so everyone knows (while I doubt you even care ) I didn't take it that way either. Just giving my opinion about the same. Carry on.
Flintlock1776
With food and fuel prices going up the temptation is there to horde up. That activity will contribute to further price escalation. Eventually you can reach only so much carrying capacity of goods. Hopefully, some of these revolutions will turn the Mideast into a democratic area and stability will come back and the pressure on price and supply will ease up. People in the middle east have lived under rulers that they did not appoint for a long time. They have finally realized they can do something about it. I dont have a problem with a nation wanting to remove their leader, that is their right. It just sucks for us because of gas prices and so on, but honestly that is our fault. If we would drill here for our own oil and use the oil we already have in reserve then that would fix part of the problem. Things are not as bad in the world as some people like to believe. I truly believe some people just look for negative things in life and thrive on discussing how bad things are. Thats no way to live. The world has seen worse times, we just werent here to see them. I always have prepared for the worse and hoped for the best. Educated myself and prepared. That's why I'm still employable and actually got a Christmas bonus and a big raise recently. As for hoarding, just develop a lifestyle where you have enough to get through the learning curve for long term survival (6 months to a year)and constantly use and restock food that is not suitable for long term storage. I put pressure on the supply and stocked up before there was a crisis so all I do is buy what anyone normally would now. The mideast has only one democracy and that is Israel. If you are Biblically inclined read Galatians 4:21-31. The sons of Abraham born to the slave woman (Muslims/Arabs) are slaves and historically have always been ruled over by a dictator. I don't see things being any worse or better than they ever have been. God doesn't lie.
