1935 Plymouth 4dsd. A friend of mine and I pooled our money and bought it for $7.50 in 1958. We got it running and used it all summer for a lot car and sold it in the fall for $ 15.00 to a farmer who drove it for another year. He gave it back to us when the clutch gave out. We put a used clutch and pressure plate in it and it became a lot car for a while until we put it through a stone fence at good speed. We sold it to a junk yard for $ 7.50.

Wish I had it back today along with a good many cars I had over the years.

I did get another '35 Ply. in 1982. This one was a Business coupe' with 33,000 orig. miles on it. I drove it a few years to shows and parades, stored it for a while and sold it about 5 years ago.

Still have the first car I ever drove " on the road." 1953 Olds Super 88. It's pretty rough having been stored outside for all these years but sentiment just won't let me give it up. Besides, I am afraid the back seat might talk!

1959 VW Beetle. Bought it when I was 15 in 1968 and spent every cent that I made pumping gas on the weekends (I made $1.25/hr) putting chrome-like or shiny junk on it. Only had my 365 Day Learners Permit for one month after I turned 16 before I got my drivers lisence. Got my lisence in the afternoon and was street leagal with that VW that night......WHAT IN THE HECK WERE MY PARENTS THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jaw:

Got my permit the day I turned 16. Signed up for the roadtest the same day and took the test three days later. Passed with no deductions. Guess driving tractors, trucks, combines and the like from the time I could get into or onto one didn't hurt.

1982 Pontiac J2000.

Horrible car. Hated it. Traded it in for a 1984 Camaro. Loved that car. Sold that in 1986, went without a car until I got out of the service and bought a 1978 Nova. Loved that straight 6. Very reliable, drove that baby for 3 years, sold it for the same amount I paid for it, got a Geo Metro, drove that for 4 years and I've been driving trucks ever since early 1994. I'm on my 3rd truck now, a 2003 Silverado.

I was 19 years old when I got my first car, a 69 ford torino gt 2 door fast back. It was red with a 302 under the hood and posi in the rear. That car was geared so low that when loaded with the guys and going up hill I could burn the tires off that thing, (did many times). Paid 2,500$ cash, (I milked a lot of cows and bailed a lot of hay for that cash but would not change a thing other than I would have kept it. I have been driving Chevy trucks since.

Ohiobucks, don't feel bad, when my wife and I were dating she drove her Dads O'l AMC Gremlin. :taped:

About a month after my 17th birthday (1998), I got a blue '94 Ford Ranger ext. cab, auto transmission w/ V6. It had around 59K miles on it. Put a Pioneer CD player in it. I drove it until the fall of 2006 when I got my current truck, '04 blue 4x4 F150 Super Crew. My wife and I had just got married about 7 week before I got it, so I pushed it as a "family vehicle." Gave the Ranger to my dad to use as a work truck. Ranger still going strong at 235K+ miles, but the radio's backlighting has almost gone away.
