hammerforged
I know this is not specifically hunting related but I am sure there are those among us who have or know someone who has suffered severe burns, not to mention those in the Military. It is a short 4 minute video but well worth the watch. I pray that they get this approved and into mass productiona and use ASAP!

hammerforged
I know, 4 days and he was completely healed. This device deserves fast-tracking if ever there was justification for it. I have a neighbor who was a volunteer fireman until he suffered 2nd degree burns over 68 % of his body during a factory/chemical plant fire 2 years ago. Now he is dis-figured for life and this device could quite possibly have greatly reduced some of that if not all of that dis-figurement. Ravin R10 man
3 cheers for stem cell research!! Yes in this case I agree...they didnt have to kill an embryo first to get it
buckee
This video contains content from National Geographic, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. Sorry about that. Now how dumb is that
clrj3514
Yes in this case I agree...they didnt have to kill an embryo first to get it This is a common misconception with stem cell therapy. As a spinal cord injury patient myself, I am very interested in stem cell research. At first I thought stem cells only came from aborted babies and was dead-set against it. However, we all have stem cells just not as many as we get older. Stem cells are the cells before they become specialized. Umbilical cord blood is also being saved in an effort to have stem cells for worthy causes. When you're in a situation where stem cells or other "radical treatment" could help you re-gain a level of normality, it's amazing what you will consider and educate yourself about. Ravin R10 man
Adult stem cells are regenerative cells of the human body that can be coaxed to become a whole host of tissues, including heart tissue and neural matter. With these adult stem cells, physicians have successfully treated autoimmune diseases such as lupus, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. They have also restored proper cardiac function to heart attack victims, and improved movement in spinal cord injury patients. Embryonic stem cells have yet to yield one single success in the treatment of any ailment." m gardner
Like doing a skin graft with an air brush. I wish they had had that when I got burned 46 years ago. I'm sitting here getting sick just remembering. I still have bleeding whenever I rub too hard against capillaries that healed above the new skin and this would have prevented that. dbHunterNY
Yes in this case I agree...they didnt have to kill an embryo first to get it this is a huge concept. the biggest road block is getting people to realize that stem cells don't need to come from embryos. back in highschool (2002) i did my senior paper on cloning with embryonic stem cells, but i learned a ton about using other stem cells. in the movie I-Robot will smith just sprays his arm to get skin over it again. i thought that was crazy, but i guess it wasn't that far off.
