Do I have a problem???

I have some boxcalls I've accumulated over the years in a Rubbermaid tub. I had to move it this morning to get at something and noticed it was on the heavy side. So I hauled it out and emptied it onto the floor. Wasn't really aware that it had gotten this bad. I think I may need help.

Oh, yeah...............did I mention there's only one of them that I use to hunt with?? It's the one on the far right in the row coming off the lid of the boxed set (right above the purpleheart longbox).

The first turkey i ever called in i used one of the camo hs strut calls i havent seen one in awhile

That camo HS Strut one-sider is the first boxcall I ever owned. Bought it early 80's and used it to bring quite a few gobblers to their deaths. It is one of the nastiest cutter-boxes in that picture.

I bet that it will not be long until all the Little Struts will be making claims to some of them.

The Strutlets, actually, do already have their own boxes. Didn't put those in the picture.

Only a couple of the calls pictured have ever seen the woods. No plans to expand that number much or at all in the future.

Not really. I use Lynch & Quaker Boy. My go to call is my Quaker Boy "Grand Old Master" & then Lynch. Box calls seem to work out here----the sound will carry out in the canyon. Add in the fact that I really suck with a mouth call. I'd probably would get a backup Lynch & Quaker Boy. CB

Have you priced a Grand Old Master since Dick Kirby passed?? The older QB's are getting quite pricey.

It's interesting what some folks will collect without the intention of collecting.

I started collecting Gun Digests a few years ago. It became an obsession to the point I bought and bought. Today I have the whole library from 1944 to 2010. Believe it or not I have read the majority of them. For some years I have as many as 4 copies because I kept upgrading the condition of each years digest. I actually have 3 original 1944 editions as well as a reprint 1944 edition. I have over 40 more that aren't on display.

To this point I have never heard of anyone who has collected the whole series.

Nice collection Don,

Lynn
