Snow?

The continuous rain yesterday (Saturday) and mild temps had most of the filelds virtually bare of any sign of snow here. Yet when I awoke this morning, I had to dawn all my snow gear and headed outside to shovel and plow 4" to 6" of snow that fell overnight. It was powder snow, but the wet conditions from the rain, left the snow base wet and heavy. That's what I refer to as "heart attack snow".

We got about 2" to 3" snow last night. Then around 4:00 this morning it started raining and is expected to continue for the next 2 to 3 days.

I got up early to shovel as I heard the plow pass my house around 7:00 a.m. Plus I had to rush down to my 83 year old mother-in-law's house to shovel her out before she emerged outside to try and shovel the heavy heavy heavy wet remaining snow. Wouldn't you know it, she'd gone outside to shovel before I got there just so she coud get her 6 empty glass jars to the curb for recycling. Man I hope I don't spriral downhill to that level of rediculous behaviour when (and if) I ever get to that age.

This wet snow is what I refer to as the ultimate "heart attack snow". Shovellers be careful!
