Electric sharpeners chefs choice do a pretty good job and are not too terribly high. Hand sharpeners hard to find one that will put a better edge on a blade than a lansky sharpening system. Shaun_300 Posted March 8, 2011 Report Share Posted March 8, 2011 Welcome to the forums! I have a Lansky sharpening system with the stone hones, with a ceramic ultra fine hone for finishing. Puts an awesome edge on knives! When you can shave the hair off your hand or slice a piece of paper by just drawing the blade across it, it's good and sharp. Did all my hunting knives and all our kitchen knives too. Works great! Co-workers are starting to give me their knives to sharpen for them.
