Finally some good news - well kinda.

Finally had the follow-up with the neuro-surgeon to get the results of my MRI. He said given my chosen occupation and the fact that I forged my own steel he expected to see a pronounced amount of disk degeneration. There was none, in fact he said that my spine looked better than some 25 year olds that he has seen. It appears that my pain is more muscular and actually a repetitive motion issue (similar to Carpal tunnel, which I have had in both hands). So some heated deep tissue therapy and muscle stimulation and I should be good to go.

I do agree it is great news, just not looking forward to the 2 hour therapy sessions 3 times a week for the next however many weeks at $135.00 per session. Insurance doesn't cover them unless there is severe muscle and tissue damage. Doctor asked if there was any way I could change up my range of motion when forging to avoid the repetitive motion situation. I told him it was pretty straight forward you get it hot and hit it with overlapping strikes with a big hammer.:clown: Also, not looking forward to the time away from the shop, orders are actually starting to come in and if I don't make knives to sell, I can't pay for the therapy sessions, on the other hand if I don't make knives then I don't need the sessions - Aghh Go figure.
