Life

Since September I've been told that I had a very deadly form of thyroid cancer, which after 7 weeks of life changing worry and putting your life in perspective, I find out after surgery and pathology that it was a mistake and it was benign.

A friend called me told me goodbye and attempted suicide...

My wife watched her father die at 56 years of age unexpectedly 3 weeks ago and dealing with my childrens 2nd grandparent loss in 3 years

Last night I found out on the eve of my baby girls 9th birthday, that my 66 year old mother's stage 4 cancer, after 15 years of fighting, has came back and has spread to her liver...

I still love God, but sometimes its tough to see him through all of the pain

Kinda know where you are coming from on the surgery, relief to know it is not cancer for sure at the same time get mixed thoughts on the errors made that cause worries. Sorry to hear about the loss and the bad news there Ken. Tough to see your kids go through dealing with losing a loved one much less dealing with it yourself, tough times for sure. My condolences to your family and prayers on the way.

Dude, I feel you....I had a similar run of bad luck myself. It's just life, it's just fate, it's just your turn.

First, I would be suing everyone involved with your misdiagnosis. That is incompetence upon malpractice.

This world we live and die in is not as God chose it. Everything that we consider painful (health problems, pain, troubles, etc. etc. etc.) are not of God, they are the work of the devil. They are the result of sin from the time of the foundation of the Earth and while we weren't there, our sin was represented the day Adam and Eve fell as well as the day our Savior was crucified. So we aren't innocent and when you consider that what we richly deserve is **** for all eternity, it puts this life in perspective.

Also remember that whatever pains us also pains God. I guess it is similar to us parents letting our children go through hard times to learn a lesson--very hard for us to watch. I don't understand the why's of life but just have to believe it is somehow working towards God's plan.

Prayers things will level off for you.

Yea Ken hang in there. Although life happens, a lot of us want nothing more than for things to turn around for you. You've got to stay postive and it will help you focus more on the good stuff that happens opposed to the bad. The news could've been worse.

My dad has been having some issues and has scheduled an appointment for a check up, but I'm thinking and hoping it doesn't add up to anything.

In rugby, we had to holler out when we were supporting a teammate, so he would know we were there & when he was about to get pasted he could turn to you and pitch. We had to yell out, "With you!" It was a comfort to hear that when off-color jerseys were closing in. After all that build up...

"With you!"

Ken my best take on it is it is not wrong to question God talknto him argue your case pray hard my friend, he will talk back to you if you are willing to listen all I know from experiencen is sometimes the answers aren't what we want to hear. Please don't give up on him I can promise he isn't making this happen but allowing it no less. Keep the faith regardless

Sorry to hear of all of the heartache, but glad you're ok. My uncle just had a major tumor removed from his thyroid and now has to get the whole thing removed. Just found out my other uncle has prostate cancer that has spread into the bone in his pelvis, friend at work had a stroke few days ago, last fall told my son that his uncle had committed suicide, he already lost his grandparents to suicide several years ago.............I feel you! I was raised in the church, after I got married I quit going with working 12 hour shifts and OT and every other weekend. But lately I have been praying alot more, reading the Bible to my son and talking with him..just too many signs going on in the world today. Don't give up on your faith.
