Chester
I hate it for them, glad I am here and not there. But, things like that can happen here just as good as over there.
LETMGROW
I have never been a fan of Japan. Especially in the light of the attack on Pearl Harbor. That aside you have to feel compassion for the folks there.
Mach1
I thought I read somewhere that Japan has 52 nuke plants. I thought that seemed like a high number for a country with relatively small land area ~146,000 square miles. (Montana is ~147,000 sq. miles, 4th largest in US) Then again Japan has a population of ~127 million people, which is just more than 3x the population of California (largest in US). It's just been a devastating event for Japan.

ruttinbuc
Fan of Japan or not it is heartbreaking to see the devastation and human suffering in this catastrophe. It is just the beginning of this nightmare for these people. People who were led by their leaders into WWII. They are not to blame for it just as we are not to blame for the decision to drop the atom bomb.
