Palssonater
Anyone got any plans/pictures for a home made smoker? Looking at doing something in the future, but the ones your buy really don't allow for the fall sausage season. Good for jerkey and the odd smokeout bbq, but I need something a little bigger. Just looking for tips, suggestions for a newbie.
Guest 257Roberts
Re: Smokers What kinda smoker? I found one for a barbq pit, and i got a book (accually a pamplet) that shows you how to make an ole timey one. I'd be happy to fax you some pages out of it or send you the link to the place i got it. I think it was only about 4 bucks and it has some really cool info in it. my email address is [email protected]
AJ
Re: Smokers Why not get this book. Here is a drum/pit smoker. Yet another one. Google is a great tool.
longislandhunter
Re: Smokers I've seen them made out of old 55 gallon drums and also old refrigerators. Both work well and provide plenty of room for a ton of meat and both can usually be procured for free. Good luck.
Guest 257Roberts
Re: Smokers We made one out of an old refrigerator and it works good. You gotta be carefull with them though cause they have some plastic in them that can't get too hot.
