:yes:I am finally sending out my last student loan payment today from my 4 years getting my BS degree! The secret? God blessed me with a good job, a supportive family, working at camp over the last few summers paid off nursing school, and I kept saving, making each payment each month, then increasing the payments then saved up from work and in the last few months made a large payment each month. I also don't have a credit card and always pay in cash, or send a check if it's something mail order. 6 years of college all paid off. Thank you Lord, debt free is the way to be!

Debt free is the way to go. With that being said, you still need to "borrow" a certain amount periodically to keep your credit scores high. And why do you need high credit scores if you never intend to borrow? Because a lot of companies will not hire you if you don't have a minimum credit rating. Easiest way to maintain a good credit rating is to get a no annual fee credit card, use it a few times a month, and pay off the entire balance every month so you don't have any interest. If you order stuff from Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop, they have cards that let you accumulate earned rewards.
