I know a lot is on our minds lately with our State Government but something has passed that is worth noting. Our State Senate has passed bill S177A that would lower the age to archery hunt from age 14 to age 12. If you truly believe that quality time with our kids is time spent in the woods then I urge you to contact your Assemblyman to support S177A.

You can still write in so my daughter can hunt in 3 years instead of 5.

Amen Joe. I'm 19 now and had to wait til I was 14, but I know what it was like having to wait. Never understood why I could bowhunt small game at 12 or 13 but not deer or bear. Even though my youngest brother is 14 now, it is still our responsibility to preserve and better our heritage for generations to come. I'll be sending my letter in for sure. It's about time New York.
