Tim Andrus
After throwing in the towel on buying new truck I took your guys idea and started searching on line. As I did one truck came up at a dealer I did the online trade deal. It came back more than I was hoping to get by $300 So against better judgement I went there in person and told my wife this is where it will change And it did $200 more So now Im $500 more than I expected Had him crunch numbers and I can drive a new 2011 4wd crew cab for $35 more a month. I think id be crzzy to let this one go . Especially now my truck is over 98000 So I go in wednesday to close the deal they have to trade truck to get it there

fly
Good luck Tim, You buying a Ford? I decided on a 2010 F-150 due to my scepticism on the turbo charged V6 (picture in a thread below). Strange... one dealer was pushing the V6 ecoboost and the other was pushing the V8. Neither had the truck I wanted and had to do a search so it wasn't because they had it on the lot. Guarantee you - if you work the numbers and figure a lower monthly payment than you really want you'll get more for your trade. See my post below. What engine are you getting? fly
Guess I should have figured Chevy since I see a lot of Realtree advertisements with the Chevy trucks. Well, good luck with the deal Tim - looking forward to seeing pictures.

stevebeilgard
good deal, tim. i hope it all works out. as for the old truck, 98,000 miles is just broke in. i would not hesitate to take any new truck over the 200,000 mile mark, assuming you take good care of it. wtnhunt
Congrats on the new truck Tim. Funny how dealers/sales managers work. We bought the wifes durango from a dealer 30 minutes away. The vehicle came from Nashville, I actually located it myself online and got quotes. I tried buying it directly from Nashville(over 2 hours away), but they wanted about $4 grand more for their vehicle than the local closer dealer wanted for their vehicle. I called that dealer back and told them I was gonna have our local dealer transfer it and buy it for a considerably less, chance for them to sell it to me from their lot and they still would not budge on the price. Norm Sauceman
My truck has 182k and still going strong...have thought about getting another one but that frugal voice in my head and the small Social Security checks hold me back..
