m gardner
We lost the front tire on the new motorcycle at 70mph on the way back from Cabelas. We were on a 3 route elevated exchange when it happened. We slid across three lanes of heavy traffic and nearly went down. Missed several cars and stopped short of the cement barrier. My wife did a remarkable job of staying on the bike and helping control it and we both gave thanks to the Lord for His mercy because old folks bruise easily especially when they go under vehicles at 70. The whining would have been incredible. She recovered quickly though and the officer left her in the back of the cruiser so we could make this short video. He was a true professional, Polite and courteous. Arizona DPS is the finest. Here's a link to the video. Drunk Again! m gardner
Thanks. I was praised for doing such a good job of thinking quickly and surviving and I realized at my age thinking isn't as quick and certain as it used to be. My reactions from years of adverse circumstances and the Lord above watching out for us is the only explaination. Mark

m gardner
Steve, I have a real problem because I have always had very little fear. The bike is fine. I'll get some new high dollar rubber on it and go. It is a Kawasaki KLR 650 so I'll get some enduro tires instead of the knobbies that were on it. I had run through some unidentifiable trash in the road a few miles before the tire came off and unraveled. In heavy traffic you have no choice but to run through stuff. You can't swerve. Maybe rim locks would be in order too. This is the first time we had ridden it since I got it yesterday. Mark

ruttinbuc
Glad you both are OK. I gave up my motorcycle license last year. Just no way to compete in all the traffic here. It used to be a great way to get around.

m gardner
Thanks guys. We know the Lord is in charge and He doesn't want us taken yet. I witnessed to the man's family I bought it from. This is probably an attack from the enemy. Mark

m gardner
I think I'm living a truly blessed life right now. I'm not dead from a mtorcycle accident and I just checked on the Az Game and Fish website and drew an archery bull tag for september in a good unit after only 3 years of applying. Thank you Lord. Hoosierbuck
If I send you a couple bucks, will go to the Circle K and buy me a lottery ticket? Glad you two are OK. God was watching over you lest you strike your face against a Chevy. Gotta be more than just a little skill there, too. Good luck on the hunt. Post pics!
