Guest Andrea
Re: Monster Lobster Dies That's a shame. Wonder if they ever figured out how old he was. I caught an alligator snapping turtle that weighed about 75 pounds and someone told me he was probably around 100 to 125 years old. That's amazing to me. Then at the other end of the spectrum...my son caught one while he was wading along the river that was about as big as a quarter. Never saw one that small before. Rhino
Re: Monster Lobster Dies Last I heard they estimated it was between 30 and 50 years old. Don't know if a lobster that old would be like shoe leather or not. I sure wish they had put him in the boiler right when he died and broke out a big tub of butter and a bunch of lemons to find out. HuntingInMaine
Re: Monster Lobster Dies I was really bummed out to hear that the lobster had died. I read that PETA was trying to get them to release the lobster back in the wild, so this death is going to give them something else to complain about.... billkay
Re: Monster Lobster Dies When I first read this, I thought it was a different lobster. 2-20#'s. The first line of the story says he died in a zoo after being donated by the market. "PITTSBURGH, Pa. - He spent decades dodging lobster pots, but in the end, Bubba was done in by a trip to the zoo.
