Newarcher
Nice. I bought a guitar on Father's day last year. I started out with lessons at the local music store (big mistake) but it was just babysitting. I was learning to play melody instead of harmony. It was okay to play mary had a little lamb but not what I wanted. That was geared towards kids. I then found a GREAT music teacher. He is literally a genius--teaches advanced math to kids along with music. We've been through a lot of theory and I'm slowly learning. I've been working on Stairway to heaven and I have it down to the lead part. There are a lot of very tricky nonstandard chords in it, finger picking, rhythm parts, chord picking and lead. I am working on speed and consistency but that song has it all and I decided to try it first. I was just about to give up because I just didn't have any rhythm. But recently it is like there was a switch that flipped. I am now working on some Matchbox 20 (Hang) and it has a catchy tune and rhythm. So I can now play SOME rhythm so it is possible. I still have a real problem keeping time and being able to tap my foot in time to the beat of many songs (unless it has a strong back beat). I guess that will come in time also. Shaun_300
Saw those on facebook the other night, love your guitar playing Leo. Awesome creativity you put into all of your songs. I've played guitar for 17 years now, I don't do much fancy stuff like that. I just love playing country music, I can pretty much listen to a song on the radio and be able to pick my guitar up and play along with it. Funny I've always had an ear for music, and no one else in my family does.
The Kid
That was really good leo, I showed this to one of my teamates that works in the hunting industry and he really liked it,, have you ever considered doing something like that for a company as like a theme song? That would be really cool if someone wanted to use one of my tunes for that. Guess it would be kinda like what I did playing the background music in this slide show. http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v1/yG/r/9buiZx_-Qt8.swf?v=1589159375831&ev=
