Fishing Guide Recomendation - Hilton Head

Recommended Posts

I was hoping one of the prostaffer or forum members could suggest a good fishing guide in or around Hilton Head SC. I know many of you RT guys are from GA so I thought you might have some familarity. We will be in HH the May 28th - June 4th. The guide does not have to be right in HH but within an hour or so drive.

It will be my BIL, Brother, one friend and myself. I am not even sure what we should be going for so any suggestion would be appreciated for 4 SoIL rednecks who onlty understand how to catch crappies and bass.

Thanks.

try the local chamber of commerce. they will have a list of guides for you to choose from. also, don't hesitate to call cabelas or bass pro shops, or any of the other stores that have an outfitting business associated with them. they check out the guides frequently and only use the best. besides, it costs you nothing to use them. catch a big one....

I have fished out of HIlton Head a lot and have had great trips. For the life of me I can not remember what guide I used when I did a guided trip. I have only done one there and it was good. After that first trip, I took out my own boat and fished with great results. You might want to give Leo on here a shout and see if he knows of anything. He is the closest member to HH in Low Country SC. I'm thinking he is about an hour away. He might know who to use or have friends there that would. Give him a PM and see if he's any help. I will try and find some old pictures or something that will help with determining who I used. It's been 5+ years, but if they are still around that means they're doing something right.

What kind of fish are you looking to target?

Can you drive a boat and use GPS and a depthfinder?

Will you be taking your own equipment?

If yes, I would rent a boat for a day and let me know what fish you want to try and catch and I will try and help you...
