archerjg
My 2010 deer mount back from the taxidermist. The taxidermist did an excellent job and I am very happy with it. Archerjg

Zambo
Great looking deer. Congratulations. My wife would never let me put my mount on the couch for display. LOL

archerjg
Thank you guys. I had just picked it up and didn't have a place on the wall picked out yet. LOL. I thought he was a lot bigger than he really was. I saw him 80 yards out and all I really saw was the body and it was huge. I caught a glimpse of his rack as he got closer through the trees. I took him mostly based on his body size, he was 180 lbs. He was an odd one though his bottom jaw was cleft and between and 1 1/2" and 2" shorter than the top jaw. My uncle works for DNR and he said he had never seen that before. The taxidermist did an awesome job with it and you can't even tell he was deformed. We can only guess how he ate because of the deformity with his jaw. Once I get the plaque finished and him mounted I'll post some better pictures. He was perfectly symmetrical from side to side.
