Scoring Bucks

I heard about this several months ago & read about some of the details. It was developed by Mississippi State University. From what I understand it uses several so called known facts of a deer to determine the score. Only problem is those so called known facts vary. Certainly a deer's ear length & eye to nose length, etc. is not the same for south Texas deer, Midwest deer, and Canadian deer just to name some. As I recall they also claim the program is able to estimate within 10% of a deer's score. Obviously that's 12 1/2" of error for a P&Y buck. Seems like a lot of room for error when the program could be off on the estimate one way or the other...high or low.

With all that said though...it might be interesting to see what number the program would come up with for the same deer from several different angles. :D
