colorado bob
Got a phone call from the DOW today. On my wife's sheep application, I didn't include the $10 habitat stamp. She needed to buy it this weekend because 4/25 the draw goes in. Told him that normally she gets it with her turkey tag but this she has a heavy college load & is passing on the spring hunt. But we would go out tonite & buy her 2011 fishing license. Thought it was nice that they would call with the problem & try to fix it before the draw. FYI----no way she can draw---she only has 2 points. But this year will be her 3rd----so next year, maybe. CB
texastrophies
Didn't know CO did that. I know AZ has a period where they will do that. They saved her a year, good deal.
Dawg
Cool deal. I paid $10 too much 2 years ago on my tags. I realized it after I had sent the check but wasn't going to do anything about, afterall it was just $10. About a month or so later I received a $10 check from the Colorado DOW. They have proven to be a great agency in my eyes, even the Game Warden that patroles the unit we hunt is a very nice guy. Last year my dad shot a real nice buck, somehow made a bad shot and the buck got up and jumped the fence into the neighboring property. The warden was sitting on top of the hill watching the whole deal and drove down to help look for the buck. You don't have too many of those around southeast Texas. silvertip_co
The Colo DOW does a good job on this, we've drawn and not had the 'habitat stamp' and they notified us to get them asap or no tag forthcoming. In fact they generally always receive high praise from me, unlike the Penna Game Commish about whom I have nothing good to say.
