USAFbowhunter
Well I got back from my parents place on thursday evening from a great second season turkey hunt with my dad. On Tuesday April 19th I got my turkey. The morning started out with a really bad storm that brought 4 inches of rain within an hour so it flooded out all the creek bottoms and alot of the firelds so i decided to run into town since our power was out and i came home at around noon and got changed to go out for the last hour of hunting since the sun had came out. Well when driving to our woods I see a gobbler working his way across a field towards the woods. I figured he was just working through the strip of woods working to the field on the back side. So I parked and slipped in to the back side of the strip of woods and it wasn't 10 mins after I sat down I could see him coming through the woods. I let him have it when he was at about 25 yards. He was just a tad over 25 lbs and had a 9 1/2 inch beard and his spurs were 1 1/2 inches long. He is my biggest bird to date.
