PotashRLS
I ordered a bunch of boxes of these in 3" 20ga. and 3 1/2" 12ga. We will use the 20ga. for our youth turkey hunters and the biggins for ourselves. Seems like they have decent reviews. These loads are on sale at Cabelas for $4.24 for 20ga. to $6.79 for 12ga. Anyone have first hand experience with these? colorado bob
I'm using those Kent loads. They are in 2 3/4" 12 guage----#5 shot. They give me a great pattern @ 40 yards. 15 hits in the kill zone on my target-------shaded area on a turkey's head & neck. Pattern even & well balanced. It worked great on that Colorado Merriam Jake that's posted in a couple threads down. I liked them so much I got 4 boxes------don't plan on looking for another load for a long, long, long time. CB What shot size did you get?
PotashRLS
What shot size did you get? I got all #6 shot. We do very well with #6 shot and have killed many birds in the 40-50 yard range with the 3 1/2"ers. They really pound em.
PotashRLS
We patterned these loads and they were just as consistant as the Federal and Winchester heavy 2 1/4oz. loads out of our Mossberg 835s. I also shot them out of my Rossi single shot turkey gun. They are nearly as tight as the Federals and Winchesters. Either way, I killed a yote with em in that Rossi gun at 35 yards. I definitely recommend them from what I have seen so far.
colorado bob
They actually patterned better in my gun. They remind me of the old Activ loads. I think Kent bought Activ when they went under. CB
