Ohiobucks
...they sure were gobbling this morning behind the house. On the way in here, I saw 4 different strutters in different fields. Warmer weather has finally arrived, and it seemed to have had a positive effect on the turkeys around here.
Rhino
You look like you're a little under the weather Tom...if the weather is the same tomorrow & the birds are still fired up...better call in sick!
Ohiobucks
I'll be heading to wild, wonderful West Virginia tomorrow morning for our annual golf trip. Should roll back in town mid day Sunday. We still have 2+ weeks of season left, it was just refreshing to hear those birds behind the house again. WHISKEYSWAMP
heard one gobbling behind the house yesterday morning, sounded like a jake... haven't been out much since opening day but plan on hunting Friday morning before work. Saturday, I hope to be heading to where I shot mine to help the landowner's grandson get his first bird... IF they can get there butt out of bed in time to make it where I want to hunt, we should not have a problem.
Ohiobucks
Good luck Rodney, I hope you're able to put 'em on some birds (once you get them outta bed that is... )
WHISKEYSWAMP
thanks, hope so to. Things is, I have to get up at 4am to make it over there in time. They just have to be ready to head out their back door by 5:30ish. It'll be fun regardless of what time we hit the woods.
