Jeramie
New records being set this spring. Paddlefish (spoon bills) are running right now so people are snagging for them like crazy. The state record fell this year to a rookie. New state Record: 125lbs 7-oz

Jeramie
They are a blast to catch. Most of the time you hook them in the side or tail so the fight is on! Rarely do you grab them by the bill end...
redkneck
We used to set lines out for them years ago on the river. Never caught one that big, but sure stacked them up in the boat plenty of days that were 40lbs and up.

The largest ive ever caught was 96lbs when I was about 14 years old.
Jeramie
:jaw: Never seen a fish like that before! Freakin' thing is huge! They are a really neat fish. No teeth, no bones. They are a bottom feeder. They are ok to eat as long as you trim the dark meat from the belly. They are spawning right now so they are moving up the rivers...
