lil hunter
I'm needing a tool box for my Chevy, but I've never owned one before and never really looked into them much. I don't have any storage room in my barracks, so there will be tools in it all the time, and I'll probably have guns in there for multiple days at a time as well. Because of that, I need one that is very durable, and has a good solid lock on it. I really can't decide if I want one with a single lid, or a 2 lid model. Any recommendations on that matter? What brands should I look into or stay away from? I'd also really prefer a black painted or powdercoated box instead of a nice shiny polished one. I've heard of some brands having the paint strip off easily. Has anybody ran into this problem?
Ravin R10 man
I went with a chest style Dewalt. Any other style would have required removal of my bed rails. I went with a 48" long, same width as my fuel tank, plus it gives me room to carry smaller items up front on the sides...and I can still clean the corners out too.... 60" would fit tight between box, I made two supports so it rides just above my fuel tank.
