PotashRLS
Nice shootin'. How far was that bird?
VermontHunter
Nice shootin'. How far was that bird? Initial first shot was 25 yrds, and the last shot was about 50 yrds ... I'm not sure how this bird survived the first shot, it rolled him over completely and you can see/hear there is a hesitation between the first and second shot, I learned from last season NOT to ever drop your weapon after the first shot just in case a follow up shot is needed, which was the case here. dartonman
Nice video Luke....only bit of advise I have is, if you know where the birds roam, I would of had my hen decoy heading towards me, turned her around......that way it looks as if she is leaving them, not heading towards them.....nice bird, congrads again buddy.............al

I'm actually tieing them down slightly with fish line to keep them from completely spinning around now .. I've put my pretty boy decoy away for the time being, it seems to be spooking the Toms big time ...
dartonman
If you cut metal coat hangers, the straight center parts, and use them as stems, you can put them in the ground an inch away from the tails of your decoys on both sides, and it gives them a little wiggle, but no spin.....have a great year.......al
