Time to go

we leave early tomarrow for the 5 day drive to alaska. back this year on june 28, then up again abour mid july. last year we were gone all summer and the wife went crazy without the family around. i'm pulling a 26', 16,000 lb trailer loaded with building materials. this summer i plan to fish a bunch more, but will get the wood ceiling in, drywall done, and floor tile. the kitchen & baths will be done, and ready for carpeting. the first project, though, will be a 2 car garage for storing all my "stuff". anyway, i'll be back on the horribly bad internet up there, and will only be able to check in weekly or so. i'll stop by when i can, for sure.

meanwhile, i'm stuck with a 6 king daily limit, 12 crabs a day, but all the shrimp and oysters i can take.... ;). we won't go hungry. i may even shoot a sitka blacktail or 2. there's a 7' black bear has been bluffing me for 2 years, and kaeden may just have to pop him this august. i've never shot a bear and don't want to, but he tired me out of his bullying last year. if he's there this year doing his tricks, we'll see. actually, we have tons of bears on the island but this one is particularily unnerving. most leave you alone, but this guy knows a charge will get him a fish....

anyways, he's now cut off. i'll be on the road for 6 days and will check in early next week. see you.
