HUNTINGMAN
man it's been a couple of years since I have bought tires, man they sure are expensive. I got rid of the old worn out mud tires that have served me well and got some all terrain tires that hopefully will be better on gas milage. I can't beleive the difference in smoothness and noise level. Here's a couple pics, the old and the new.http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii230/heatherjbrown2/e56d3c5b.jpg[/img]"]http://http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii230/heatherjbrown2/aac4fc89.jpg[/img]"]http://
Shaun_300
Nice looking tires! Yes they sure are expensive. Especially when you get into the big truck tires or the low profile balogna skins on the sports cars!
Jeramie
Yep, money makers for sure. It does make the vehicle feel like a brand new ride though.. I run Bridgestone dueler AT (or APT) on my truck. GET THE WALLET OUT. those things are expensive.
HUNTINGMAN
I just got back from taking the car and putting a new set of goodyears on it also. I have spent over 1000$ on tires alone today. looks like it will be spam and balogna and crackers for a while.
The_Kat
Tires are definitely pricy. MY Bajas were 410.00 each. The set of tires I threw on the 3000GT were 715.00 for the set, and I just priced some 35x12.5R20's for the GMC at 2300.00 for a set. Holy smokes! 92xj
Go price out some 42" 44" 47"s or the newish 54" tires. It will make you feel better about the money spent on what you just bought. My 42s were high dollar and only got about 9k miles out of them.

And why in the world out you go to that size? Anything over a 17 on a truck is ghetto nasty. On a side note. your lift plan and tire size will not look good either. Let me know when you're actually seriously about doing stuff.

On a side note. your lift plan and tire size will not look good either. Let me know when you're actually seriously about doing stuff. It will look great. I've already seen a truck with the exact same lift, wheels, and tire size and it's sick! I'm not wanting to crawl rocks benji. 35s on 20's is the best combo on a lifted truck! It balances the look of wheel/tire perfectly. Who wants all that rubber hiding the pretty shine of a tiny rim and get a stuffed look? The dodge was 17s.....it was too small for even 37s!:flex:
Strut10
Anything over a 17 on a truck is ghetto nasty. Gotta agree. Anything over 17" just translates into bling. Bling is for Caddies and Mitsu's and Benz's and Beamers. Not trucks......................unless they're lowered, not lifted.
Strut10
P.S. Sorry for the hi-jack. Nice looking tires H-man !!
wtnhunt
Yep, they sure are. Durango had factory 20's on it when it was at the dealer they transferred it from, part of the deal I made was they knock off a grand for the 20's and put the regular limited rims on it. We ended up with 17's, gonna be time for a new set of tires for it here real soon. I put new tires on my 3/4 ton truck last summer and they were around $700 if I remember right. I have 18's on my Tundra which is factory. They are just plain jane aluminum wheels that give me about a 1/2 inch of clearance between the wheel and the front calipers...some trucks just cant get a 17 inch wheel anymore lol.
