ckrich
So this Monday I had another birthday roll around, and after dinner with my parents I got to thinking about where they were at my age. That led to me to think about what other family members had accomplished at the ripe "old" age of 26, and curious about other people's lives. So.... where were you when you turned 26? Tominator
I was mid way through my 1st quarter as a junior at The University of Toledo. My current wife turned me down for what would have been our first date the day before. 13 days prior to that, I shot my first deer.

Alisha
What a great question! Thank goodness I'm only 27..... cause if it was any further back than that, I probably wouldn't remember. HA! When I turned 26 (in September, 2009), I had only been married since June 13th of that year. I had moved 1300 miles from my home state of West Virginia to be with my husband (total disaster - who I met on here!). I now live in the beautiful Province of Nova Scotia, Canada in our new home on 30+ acres, a newlywed being married to a commercial fisherman that is gone 5 days at a time during the summer & I barely knew ANYONE - major adjustment! We had just gotten our 8 week old chocolate Labrador Retriever puppy as well..... and have no kids (still none). Still in the process of getting my permanent residence... :turned:

Ohiobucks
That was back in 1997, I was the father of a 2 year old boy, Kim and I's first child. It was the first year in my current job, so glad I accepted that offer. Times were good then, and they continue to be! Cool thread! Rhino
OK...that was 1980 for me...I was single living in Lafayette, Louisiana about to start my 3rd year working for Forest Oil Corporation. That would also have been a few weeks before the end of duck season so chances are I was either duck hunting or planning the next trip to the marsh. RangerClay
Ahhhhh 1991 I just finished my first year of teaching. I resigned, took a year off from my teaching job to get my masters degree (required in NYS and no on-line classes back then). I had my heart torn out by a girl then later on I met my future wife on my second ever blind date. That fall I shot a big 7 point that was my biggest buck ever at that time. ruttinbuc
1979 for me. I was traveling in a top 40's dance band. It was quite the experience and the fun. Saw a lot of the country East of the Mississippi, Maine to Florida. A lot of memories of people, places, and things. A gig in Newfoundland is a memory I'll never forget. When they say its a small world.....no, its not!

Hoosierbuck
When I turned 26 on 9/22/1996 I had been married to my bride for about a year and a half, and we were having our first house built. I had graduated law school in May, and passed the bar exam, but I am not sure I had the results yet. I had accepted a job as a deputy prosecutor and was just waiting to get sworn into the bar so I could start working. Life was pretty simple back then. I was on the cusp of beginning the grown-up part of my life. HB
