Rhino
Haven't been in the woods since I killed my 3rd MS bird on 4/22. I have a few projects to do in the woods this weekend though. I'll probably see some polts while I'm out there. I have seen polts in the past near the end of our season close to the end of April or early in May. Most start showing up in mid May though. Fortunately where I hunt won't be affected by rising floodwaters from the Mississippi River. Many areas close to where I hunt though will loose their hatches this year. wtnhunt
Figure we lost some nests/poults in the bottoms here due to floods. Have seen a few hens the past few weeks that are going to our pastures from the woods, given what I have seen years past pretty sure they have a nest somewhere in the pasture.
