AceArcher
Quick question. IL regs say that resident and non-resident youths (under 16) are able to buy an OTC youth deer season tag and be hunt with a non-hunting adult. What about youth deer hunters during the general firearm or bow season? Can a out of state youth buy a tag and hunt in Illinois with an OTC tag? Anybody have experience with this? need2hunt
Ace, All that I know is OTC tag is good for the Youth Firearm Season and then can be used in the Late Antlerless season. I do not believe it can be used during the regular firearm or regular bow season.
dartonman
They are extremely restrictive in this matter....that youth tag is only valid during that youth weekend, and then in late, late season....and only one of those dates....and be careful as there are a lot of late seasons now in Illinois for deer. If you want the youth to hunt the regular gun season, you will have to apply for the non resident if in fact you are not a resident of Illinois. al
